 Our staff is incredible. They are passionate about teaching, encouraging and having FUN. 


Shari Mann and Jonathan Liddle | Owners

Shari and Jonathan started Authority Gymnastics in March of 2010. Founded on the philosophy of building stronger futures

Shari was a 1981 World Championship Team member and attended Arizona State University on an athletic scholarship where she achieved her Masters in Education. Shari is an esteemed coach, teaching some of the top athletes in the world, including Olympian Jaycee Phelps and World Championship Team member Sandy Woolsey. Shari is one of 20 certified judges at the International Brevet level, meaning she can judge internationally and Olympic level competitions. 

Jonathan began coaching in 1989 working at top clubs in the Flagstaff area. He was awarded the Arizona Uneven Bar Coach of the Year in 2001 and was a nominee for Arizona Coach of the Year in 2002. Jonathan is safety certified, meet director certified and a certified skill evaluator. 


Coach Cassi | Team Coach

Cassi comes to us from the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois.  Her second home was Illinois Gymnastics Institute (IGI).

Cassi spent 15 years in gymnastics.  She trained at level 9 and 10 for 3 years while also training to compete at the pre-elite level.  She has three state championship titles, and has competed in over 5 regional competitions and two national ones.  

In her early years of gymnastics, she qualified within the TOPS program and made it to Marta and Bela Karolyi's ranch.  Her favorite event was balance beam.


Coach Mel |  Team & League

Mel was raised in a small town on Lake Hartwell in Northeast Georgia. She spent most of her career competing at Upstate Gymnastics in South Carolina where she trained at Level 9. Mel enjoyed working hard in practice, even during strength and conditioning. Her favorite event was Vault, where she quickly became known as the Vault Queen because she never let anyone else take home the gold. After High School, Mel became a USAG Certified Judge (Level 7/8) who had the pleasure to travel all over the Southeast. In 2013, she took a small hiatus from her Gymnastics Career to pursue a graduate degree in Biological and Forensic Anthropology. Mel loved school so much she ended up moving to Columbia where she is currently a 4th year PhD Candidate interested the understanding variability in the timing and tempo of skeletal development, particularly during adolescence.

Coach Megan | League, TNT, Tumbling

Coach Natalie | Team & Recreational

Natalie graduated from Mizzou in May 2018 and is attending medical school at A.T. Still University in July. She was a USAG gymnast for 14 years and retired at level 10 due to an injury. Natalie has always wanted to coach and use her passion and expertise in gymnastics to help other girls reach their goals and realize their full potential.

Coach Raegen | Pre-school/kinder, Parent-Tot

Raegan is a Freshman at Mizzou majoring in Early Childhood Education. She was a cheerleader for 11 years and spent most of her time in the air. She competed for 9 years, 5 of this at Authority. Her team was named Jamfest National Champions two years in a row and competed at US Finals for six years. Raegan was a RockBridge cheerleader for two seasons and then retired from cheerleading. In 2014, she won the National Cheerleaders Association Leadership award and was an All-American Nominee in 2015. In 2016, she was one of three finalists at Rockbridge High School Bruin Cup for the Female Outstanding Sportsmanship of the Year Award. Raegan started as a junior coach at Authority when she was in eighth grade and became a preschool coach in 2016.

Coach Lindsay | TNT, Tumbling, and cheer

Lindsay is a sophomore at the University of Missouri. She grew up in Columbia and was a cheerleader for 9 years, 5 of those at Authority! Her real passion is tumbling, which she has been doing since she was 2. Her competitive cheer team was Jamfest National Champs two years in a row, and competed in the US Finals for 6 years. Lindsay was name All State and All American for her high school team. She is a new coach at Authority but has been working with kids as a nanny for the past 5 years. She has experience with every age and skill level and is excited to join the staff at Authority!

Coach Gianna | Pre-school/Kinder classes

Gianna is from Illinois. She is a student at Mizzou majoring in Health Science with a minor in business and psychology. Gianna has been a cheerleader for 15 years and is currently on the University of Missouri All-Girl cheer team.
